| A Note: From the Author |
| As a member of the Northeast Texas Writer's Organization, I feel that reading a good book should not only provide an individual with a sense of entertainment but should actually enhance the life of the reader. Local authors provide us most often with books that are centered around the lives and loves of those in their surrounding communities. Making these books available, I feel, could quite possible be a key in the development of our social awareness and should supply our children with the connection they may need to be a part of the world surrounding them. So next time you order a book, whether to place it on the shelf of your business, present it as a gift or just to read, consider contacting your local writer's groups or asking the book store for a list of local authors, a lot of times they offer them on line but don't put them on the shelves unless requested to do so: Sincerely, Lisa Willhite |
